About Mikayla

Approach and Specialties

I specialize in supporting adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Rooted in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and social justice framework, I strive to create a safe and affirming space for clients of all backgrounds—including LGBTQ+ individuals, people of color, and neurodivergent folks. I’m here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, explore what’s no longer serving you, and make meaningful, lasting change in your life.

A little more about me…

Originally from the Kansas City area, I am a lifelong Chiefs fan (so no, not just because of Taylor Swift!). Since I am not a Portland native, I enjoy finding new restaurants and shops to try in the area. When not in session, I can also be found outside on a trail or at the park, reading a new book, or playing with my cat Roxie (pictured below). I look forward to meeting you!
